Terms of Use — UpRelay: AURA

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the UpRelay: AURA app (“AURA”), provided by UpRelay (“UpRelay”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using AURA, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use AURA.

1. Eligibility

To use AURA you must:

Be at least 18 years old,
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the law where you are,
Not have been previously removed from AURA,
Not have been convicted of a sexual or violent offense, and your use of the service must not violate applicable law.

AURA’s first focus is Bali. Features and availability may vary by region.

2. Your account

Your account is personal; you may not transfer it or create an account on someone else’s behalf. One account per person.
You must provide accurate, up-to-date information in your profile. Your birth date is used for age checks and compatibility and can be corrected only once in the app.
You are responsible for the security of your sign-in details and your device. If you believe your account has been used without permission, tell us right away.
Adding an email is optional; if you do not add one, you may not be able to recover your account if you lose your device.

3. Rules of conduct

AURA is designed for respectful and intentional connections. When using AURA, you must not:

Harass, threaten, demean, or disturb others,
Create a fake, misleading, or someone else’s profile, or mislead others about your age, identity, or intentions,
Ask for money, commit fraud, send spam, or promote products and services,
Share nudity, sexually explicit content, hate speech, or violent content,
Share any content or engage in any conduct involving or targeting people under 18,
Share other people’s personal information without permission,
Promote commercial sexual services or illegal activities,
Reverse engineer the service, scrape data with automated tools, try to circumvent security measures, or disrupt the service.

AURA has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Photos and other content may be checked by automated and human moderation. We review reports promptly, generally within 24 hours, and may remove violating content and close the account of the user who posted it.

You can report or block a user or content with the in-app Report & Block option. Reports are reviewed by our team. We may remove content that violates the rules, restrict features, or close accounts.

4. Safety and meeting in person

Your communications and meetings with other users are your responsibility. UpRelay does not conduct criminal background checks on users and cannot control users’ behavior. Verification supports trust and safety review, but it is not definitive confirmation of a person’s identity or intentions.

Meet for the first time in busy, public places, tell someone you trust about your plans, and do not send money or financial information to people you do not know. In an emergency, contact local authorities.

5. Compatibility insights

AURA provides AI-assisted, explainable compatibility insights based on information users choose to provide. These insights are for information only. AURA does not decide for you; you decide whom to connect with. UpRelay makes no commitment that you will find a match, a relationship, or any particular outcome. Some AI features use third-party AI providers and work only after you give permission in the app; see the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Pro subscription and payments

Some AURA features require a paid subscription (e.g., Pro). Current prices and included features are shown in the app before purchase.
Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account upon confirmation of purchase.
A subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
Deleting your account or the app does not cancel your subscription.
Refund requests are handled by the relevant store (Apple or Google) under its policies. Any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law remain unaffected.
You can restore your purchases in the app using the same store account.
We may change paid features over time; we will announce in advance any change that materially reduces the service you paid for in your current subscription period.

7. Content

You own the photos, text, and messages you share (“Content”). You are responsible for having the right to share your Content and for your Content complying with these Terms.
So that we can operate AURA, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, limited to providing the service, to host, store, display your Content to other users within the app, and process it for compatibility assessment, translation, and safety moderation. This license ends when you delete your Content or close your account, subject to reasonable technical timeframes and legal retention obligations.
We do not use your Content for advertising.
AURA’s design, software, trademarks, and other content belong to UpRelay or its licensors. These Terms grant you no rights other than a limited, non-transferable, revocable right to use AURA for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
We may suspend or close your account if you violate these Terms, endanger other users’ safety, or where required by law. We will notify you where appropriate.
If your account is closed, refunds for a paid subscription are subject to the relevant store’s policies and mandatory law.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., limitation of liability, governing law) remain in effect.

9. Limitation of liability

AURA is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UpRelay makes no express or implied representation or commitment that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, fit for a particular purpose, or regarding other users’ behavior.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UpRelay is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for other users’ online or offline conduct.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UpRelay’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid for AURA in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g., for intent or gross negligence) or mandatory consumer rights.

10. Apple Standard EULA

If you downloaded AURA from the App Store on an Apple device, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These Terms supplement the Standard EULA; in case of conflict, the Standard EULA prevails with respect to Apple-related provisions.

These Terms are concluded only between you and UpRelay, not with Apple. UpRelay, not Apple, is responsible for AURA and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance and support services for AURA. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance of the Terms, have the right to enforce them against you.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. This choice does not remove the mandatory consumer protections granted to you by the law of your country of residence, or your right to apply to local consumer bodies. 12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will announce significant changes in the app or by another appropriate means before they take effect. Continuing to use AURA after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
